Cultivation of Aloe Vera
Species of aloe Vera (Aloevera or Aloe Barbados) This is the main species of Aloe Vera which is found especially in the provinces of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan etc. This is what works in medicine.
(a) Suitable land – Although aloe Vera cultivation can be done on both unirrigated and irrigated landBut its cultivation should always be done on unirrigated land only. (b) Climate – It grows in all types of climate. Its yield can be obtained mainly in tropical regions.
(c) Seed Planting Material – Aloe Vera is sown from its tubers/tubes. Land preparation: The field should be excavated after the first rain. Planting - Planting of its plants is done in the rainy season in the month of July-August. After field preparation, plant the plant at a distance of 2 feet from the plant. In this way, substantial profit can be earned from the cultivation of aloe Vera without any special expenditure on the lying land. Planting plants in pots and keeping them on the roof can be beneficial.
1. Fertilizers, pesticides etc. are not required for its cultivation.
2. No animal is harmed by eating it, no need to take care of it.
3. This crop gives profit throughout the year.
4. Based on this, industries for making halwa,laddu and making dry powder can be established.
5. Due to the wide demand of its dry powder and gel in the world market, foreign exchange can be earned from it.
